Tashi lent a variety of his talents to the filmmakers of Momentum, a high-octane action sci-fi about high-stakes hovercraft racing in the future. Tashi provided the full gamut of post-production color services: digital dailies grading, visual effects pulls and pre-timing, CDL color management and color pipeline development for multiple visual effects vendors, and final color grading and finishing editorial.
The filmmakers, Peggy Chung and Robert Simons, hail from Gadget-Bot, an accomplished concept art and design firm. Together, the two of them have provided key concept designs for Jurassic World, Ender’s Game, Pacific Rim, and many more.
Tashi applied his experience working on big visual effects movies (Iron Man 3, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens) to help Gadget-Bot build a color managed visual effects pipeline enabling them to creatively iterate their designs and effects work within the context of the final color grade.
