Tashi Trieu is a visual finishing artist and colorist with over ten years of post-production experience across feature films, episodic television, commercials, and short-form content. His credits span some of the most technically ambitious productions in cinema — from James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water to The Wachowskis' Sense8 — with a commitment to serving each project's distinct visual language.
With a deep background in compositing, digital photography, and film photography, Tashi brings a nuanced understanding of image-making to every grade. He holds extensive technical knowledge in color science, image processing, and the end-to-end digital post-production workflow.
Tashi is a co-founder of MOSAIC Post Production, an artist-driven picture finishing boutique in Burbank, CA.
Tashi is a co-author of Modern Post: Workflows and Techniques for Digital Filmmakers and contributed the Digital Intermediates chapter to the third edition of the VES Handbook — the industry's definitive reference on visual effects. He has contributed to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences' ACES color standards project and consults for color science applications and major software vendors.
As an educator, he has taught digital intermediate color grading at Chapman University's Dodge College of Film & Media Arts and Taipei National University of the Arts, and provided post-production consulting to major studios and facilities in Taiwan.
